Logistics Specialist

Job Summary:

Our company is currently searching for a Warehouse Receiving and Forklift Clerk to be a part of our night shift crew. The individual in this role will be accountable for discharging vehicles, accepting and examining incoming merchandise, and operating forklifts with safety and efficiency. Responsibilities:

• Upon receipt of all incoming goods, it is necessary to conduct a thorough inspection to ensure their quality meets the required standards
• Utilize forklifts in order to effectively transport and secure newly arrived materials
• Help out with taking stock: Offer support with inventory counts, assisting team members with counting, recording, and reconciling inventory levels. This can help ensure a smooth and accurate inventory process
• Manage the dispatch and delivery of parcels for UPS and FedEx
• Ensuring a clean and organized warehouse is crucial to achieving maximum efficiency
• It is essential to follow safety protocols and uphold cleanliness practices to ensure hygienic environments
• Notify management if you observe any pests or signs of infestation in the food establishment. This can include droppings, damaged food packaging, or visible insects. Prompt attention to a potential pest problem can help prevent contamination of food

Qualifications:

• A high school diploma or its equivalent is essential for a successful career
• It is desirable to have one to three months of experience working in a warehouse
• Forklift certification and completion of powered industrial truck training are essential requirements for workers who operate forklifts in the workplace
• Having fundamental math and linguistic abilities is a necessary foundation for success
• Effective communication skills are an essential requirement for success in both personal and professional aspects of life
• Having an understanding of computers or being open to learning applicable software is crucial in today's digital age

Preferred Qualifications:

• Competence to identify a restricted amount of words with two or three syllables and to distinguish resemblances and dissimilarities among words in the English language as well as numeric sequences
• Proficiency in generating and uttering basic sentences in the English language
• Proficiency in adding and subtracting numbers with two digits, as well as performing multiplication and division with numbers in the 10's and 100's, is a fundamental mathematical skillset
• Application of practical knowledge to implement directions provided verbally
• Competence in Handling Situations with One Specific Variable in Conventional Settings
• Proficiency in operating Excel, Outlook and SAP is a prerequisite for computer literacy
