Responsibilities:

As the Industrial Electrician, it will be your job to oversee and enhance the electrical subsystems of the production plant, performing repairs and upgrades and optimizing the performance of these systems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

General

  • To maintain a healthy work environment, adhere to safe work procedures, conduct monthly safety audits, comply with GMP regulations, maintain sanitary conditions, and monitor product quality. Notify the management right away if any practices or conditions endanger food safety, food quality, or personnel safety.
  • Provide accurate and meaningful updates on the status of issues and projects to management, vendors, peers, and production personnel, utilizing appropriate communication channels and mediums.

Technical

  • Make use of both manual and automated testing procedures to evaluate the electrical system and determine the root cause of any electrical malfunctions.
  • Maximize the effectiveness of issue resolution efforts by tapping into internal and external support resources in tandem.
  • Mastering the ability to read electrical schematics and device manuals is essential for minimizing downtime and extending product lifespan.
  • Diagnose and correct any hardware problems with the programmable logic controllers and touchscreens to protect the systems from further damage.
  • It is important to regularly perform maintenance on control networking systems to ensure they remain in optimal condition. This may involve cleaning and inspecting network hardware, updating firmware and software, and performing security audits.
  • Complete preventive maintenance procedures as specified by maintenance plans and work orders.
  • Comprehensive understanding of technical information particularly electrical subsystems, can be gained through adequate training and instruction.
  • Be persistent in seeking out opportunities to streamline your procedures.
  • Provide consultation and advice to management and engineering departments on projects as needed.
  • Give a helping hand to mechanics during their work.
  • Conduct any additional tasks as instructed.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

The individual must have a minimum of a one-year certificate from a recognized college or technical school, or the equivalent blend of education, training, and previous experience to be eligible for this job.

EXPERIENCE :

The ideal candidate should have three years of proven experience in industrial electrical work in manufacturing, specifically in food processing plants. Proficiency in welding, pneumatics and mechanical systems would be an added advantage.
