Starting wage: $20.00/Hr

Position Summary:

As a Inventory Specialist, their job responsibility is to transfer materials to and from designated storage areas using a small industrial vehicle.

Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Attend pre-shift conferences that include group stretching as part of the routine.
  • Drive a forklift in a manner that maximizes productivity and minimizes risks.
  • If any deficiencies are identified in the daily forklift inspection, remove the lift from service.
  • Protect your products from damage and ensure accuracy by performing Quality Reassurance Checks during shipment and receiving.
  • Keep an eye on the premises to ensure safety measures are upheld and respond accordingly.
  • Thoroughly fill out all necessary paperwork, ensuring all details are included and error-free.
  • Make sure to fulfill customer orders precisely while taking careful consideration of any specific instructions given by the customer.
  • Cooperate intently with the administrative staff to ensure accurate completion of discrepancies and problems.
  • A clean, organized warehouse with pallets placed in bins and minimizing damages is essential to enhance productivity and safety.
  • Create a culture of teamwork and relationship-building within your team and between teams by communicating politely and respectfully.
  • Upholding safe work practices, following GMP guidelines, ensuring cleanliness, and maintaining product quality is essential. Management should be notified of any circumstances or practices that may jeopardize food safety, operator safety, or reduce product quality
  • My duties as the overseer of MFI food safety and quality are paramount to the success of the business.
  • It is essential to adhere to all safety policies and procedures for the well-being of everyone.
  • Undertake any ancillary duties as directed.

Qualifications:

Educational and Professional Credentials:

  • The job requires a combination of a high school diploma, G.E.D, or an equivalent mixture of education and practical experience
  • The completion of the Powered Industrial Truck training program and a successful forklift certification are mandatory requirements for operating in the industry.
  • Fluency in English can be attained through diligent study and practice, leading to increased confidence and competence in communicating with others.
  • A strong foundation in mathematics and configuration is a prerequisite
  • The capacity to evaluate circumstances and arrive at the most advantageous resolution that advances the organization's interests while safeguarding the health and welfare of workers.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of six months of experience in a warehouse that deals with pallets is what the employer looks for in a candidate.
  • Proficiency in relating with others is important.
  • It isn't mandatory for distribution operators to have certification upon being hired, but it is ideal. MFI provides all distribution operators with P.I.T. training and certification at the beginning of their employment.
