The primary responsibility of the role involves executing various operational tasks at the store under the order and guidance of the Store Manager, giving special attention to the front-end and sales floor duties. Additionally, providing help with recruiting, coaching, and growth of store personnel under direction of the Store Manager is expected

The role requires the ability to analyze and interpret complex data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement:

  • Work alongside the Store Manager to help facilitate efficient running of the store
  • Proficient in handling all starting and finishing operations in the Store Manager's absence
  • Collaborate with the store manager to defend and fortify all business possessions, specifically the store's cash reserves
  • It is imperative to adhere to all the policies and procedures, especially the safety guidelines, to guarantee the safety of all the individuals in the workplace
  • Ensure that communication with customers, subordinates, and supervisors is always professional and pleasant
  • Ensure that the stockroom and sales floor are maintained according to the company's expectations, which includes recovery of merchandise
  • Responsibility for the supervision of hourly Associates falls on another person when the Store Manager is not present
  • Process all SSC Corporate directives as soon as they are received, including Pull and Hold/Destroy notices, Task Compliance instructions, and Key Survey information
  • The Store Manager may entrust the task of communicating store-related information, such as requests, to individual assistants
  • Help the Manager of the store in dealing with DSD goods’ acknowledgement and reimbursement.
  • The VIP and DSD policies and procedures aim to ensure that all tasks are completed accurately and within the designated time frame
  • Work closely with the Store Manager to ensure coverage of all shifts and tasks are adequately covered
  • Help the store manager in ensuring that the sales floor is an effective sales-generating space every day
  • Help oversee the cashiering activities of the company, ensuring that all associates follow the approved cash handling procedures and guidelines to uphold the integrity of the company's finances
  • The significance of store-front fixtures and displays in enhancing product promotion
  • Support sales effectiveness in the store's seasonal departments through efficient management
  • Choosing appropriate signage for in-store communication
  • Managing the Receipt and Return of DSD Merchandise with Ease
  • Each day, the team manages impaired merchandise
  • Work with the Store Manager to create weekly staffing schedules
  • Collaborate in keeping track of the store's resources and tracking spending
  • Help boost impulse purchases by ensuring product placement and presentation in checkout lanes is visually appealing and clearly labeled
  • Daily refilling of coolers and store-front program racks/displays is a crucial task to ensure the regular availability of essential items such as balloon program, sunglasses, batteries, etc
  • Aid in the administration of the Drive Item project

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Having prior experience in retail and management is ideal
  • Skillful exchange of information, interpersonal relationship, and written proficiency
  • Proficient in handling and maneuvering products that weigh up to 50lbs through enhanced physical dexterity
  • Demonstrating proficiency in collaborating within a team that possesses high energy levels
