Kitchen Supervisor

Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• Set up and stock workstations with necessary ingredients and equipment
• Organize your ingredients by dicing vegetables, slicing meats, and allotting portions
• Utilize a combination of cooking methods like grilling, baking, frying, boiling, and others to prepare the menu items effectively
• Keep a careful eye on the food during cooking to ensure proper preparation and timing
• Make certain that each plate is presented attractively before it is served
• Ensure that the kitchen area remains clean, sanitized, and orderly
• Preserve the freshness and safety of food and supplies by storing them in the correct manner
• Confirm and confirm the quality of the materials employed
• Administer inventory monitoring and notify of shortages or instigate ordering steps as required

Qualifications and Experience:

• Substantiated experience as a cook within a commercial kitchen environment
• Thorough understanding of a variety of cooking methods and kitchen devices
• Familiarity with proper sanitation and safety measures is important in food preparation
• Proficiently carrying out multiple responsibilities at once and excelling in environments that demand working efficiently under pressure
• Skilled at working in a team and communicating efficiently with others
• Physically equipped to stand for extended hours and handle lifting when needed
• Candidates need to have a high school diploma or its equivalent; having completed culinary school is a valuable bonus
