Responsibilities:

The Industrial Maintenance Electrician plays a vital role in the production facility, ensuring that the electrical infrastructure is maintained and running smoothly, by performing troubleshooting, repairs, and optimizing the performance of these systems.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

General

• The successful candidate will be able to work competently without micromanagement and possess a sense of self-motivation.

• Recognize cultural differences in nonverbal communication, such as eye contact, gestures, and physical touch.
• Practice safe work procedures, conduct monthly safety inspections, observe GMP regulations, maintain a hygienic work environment, and ensure product quality at all times. Alert the management to any behavior or situation that may compromise food safety, food quality, or employee safety.
• Ensure that management, vendors, peers, and production employees receive timely and accurate communication regarding the status of any ongoing projects or issues to avoid misunderstandings and potential delays.

Technical

• Use cutting-edge diagnostic tools and techniques that can identify, diagnose, and pinpoint electrical faults within the building's electrical system.
• Work in tandem with both internal and external resources to resolve issues as quickly and efficiently as possible.
• It is essential to acquire the skill of interpreting product literature and electrical drawings to ensure optimal operation and long-term viability of machinery.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware problems in the programmable logic controllers and touchscreens as quickly as possible to minimize operational delays.
• Finally, effective communication between IT staff and end-users is essential when troubleshooting control networking issues. This ensures everyone is on the same page and working together to resolve the issue as quickly and efficiently as possible.
• Perform preventive maintenance activities according to approved maintenance plans and work orders.
• Technical education on electrical subsystems is vital for individuals seeking to expand their technical knowledge base.
• Be proactive in seeking out ways to make your processes more efficient.
• Consult with management and engineering personnel to ensure smooth project implementation.
• Provide necessary aid to mechanics.
• Respond to any other obligations as directed.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

Applicants must have a one-year certification from an accredited college or technical institute or an equivalent mix of schooling and practical experience to be considered for this post.

EXPERIENCE :

A candidate who has at least three years of experience in industrial electrical work within a manufacturing context is being sought, with a preference for those who have worked in a food processing plant. Knowledge of welding, pneumatics and mechanical systems would be advantageous.
