Inventory Handler

Job Description:

This position requires managing the replenishing, ordering, and merchandising of prepared foods products while also participating in promotional programs. Monitoring inventory control is crucial. As well, organizing promotional displays according to OTS standards is necessary. Providing courteous and efficient service, maintaining a positive company image, and following Standard Operating Procedures are all required. Being able to perform other duties as needed is also essential. Upholding core values, supporting store initiatives, and conforming to health and safety regulations are mandatory in this position.

Responsibilities:

• Sources and restocks food items following appropriate purchasing laws for cooking.
• Responds to open purchase order and credit reports in a meticulous and expeditious manner.
• The control specialist's involvement in inventory management allows for effective management of spoilage and shrinkage.
• Reduces the likelihood of product loss by following spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheet procedures.
• Gives aid in carrying out counter service and cooking responsibilities following the specified schedule or when needed.
• Interacts with the Kitchen Manager/Chef and Team Leader regarding purchasing and troubleshooting to maintain operational efficiency.
• Builds and maintains cordial relationships with external vendors.
• Assists the Team Leader or Assistant Team Leader(s) in estimating the recipe's financial metrics.
• Executes the special order process for international customers.
• Enables leaders to conduct inventories with ease through assistance.
• A crucial aspect of financial profitability is the ability to meet or exceed purchasing and sales targets on a regular basis.
• Commences work at the designated station at the right time, dressed appropriately and well-groomed, and equipped to conduct tasks, following the assigned shift schedule, and attending required training and meetings.
• Exceptional customer service involves responding to customers' needs in a timely and effective manner, using suggestive selling techniques, and courteously and promptly answering phone and page inquiries.
• Upsurges the odds of sales by utilizing efficient and proper techniques for prepping, maintaining, exchanging, repositioning, and merchandising products.
• Abides by the prescribed regulations and procedures, such as those governing Weights and Measures, sanitation, and safety, to sustain a safe and organized work environment.
• Makes certain of the impeccably clean and sanitary condition of the working and shopping environment, as well as the optimal maintenance of all equipment according to WFM's safety and sanitation requirements.
• Precision in signage and pricing is secured by thorough fulfillment of assigned opening, midday, and closing obligations.
• Immediate reporting of safety hazards and violations is a must.
