Starting wage: $20.00/Hr

Position Summary:

It is the responsibility of the Distribution Center Associate to utilize a small industrial vehicle to transport materials to and from designated storage locations.

Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Make sure to participate in pre-shift gatherings, which might include group stretching.
  • Operate a forklift safely and effectively to ensure optimum productivity.
  • Carry out the daily inspection of the forklift and take it out of use if any defects are identified.
  • Ensure that your shipped and received items are free from damages and accurate by conducting Quality Reassurance Checks.
  • Keep an eye on the premises to ensure safety measures are upheld and respond accordingly.
  • Ensure all forms and documentation are fully completed with all required information provided accurately and legibly.
  • Accurately fulfill customer orders and adhere to any special instructions provided by the customer.
  • Collaborate extensively with the administrative team to guarantee precision and resolution of discrepancies and concerns.
  • It is imperative to maintain proper organization and cleanliness within the warehouse premises, along with managing the damages and taking care of pallets.
  • Improve collaboration among team members and across teams by using professional and courteous language while communicating.
  • Comply with safety-related work procedures, adhere to GMP regulations, ensure cleanliness and uphold product quality standards. Be sure to notify management of any issues or practices that may jeopardize food safety, employee safety, or the quality of the product
  • Ensuring that MFI products meet both food safety and quality standards is a crucial responsibility.
  • It is imperative that all safety policies and procedures are strictly followed.
  • Carry out any additional responsibilities as directed.

Qualifications:

The necessary educational and experiential qualifications:

  • A combination of practical experience and education equivalent to a high school diploma or G.E.D is required
  • Passing the forklift certification and completing the Powered Industrial Truck training program is essential for success.
  • Mastering the intricacies of the English language is crucial to effectively communicating through reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Adequate knowledge of mathematics and configuration is imperative
  • The capacity to evaluate circumstances and arrive at the most advantageous resolution that advances the organization's interests while safeguarding the health and welfare of workers.

Education, Experience and Abilities Desired:

  • Experience of at least six months in a warehouse facility that handles pallets is highly desirable.
  • Adequate skills in dealing with people are necessary.
  • Although certification is not mandatory upon employment, it is still desirable. Once hired, all distribution operators will receive training and certification from MFI, which is approved for P.I.T. operation.
