The job calls for effectively ordering, replenishing, and merchandising prepared foods products. Participating in promotional programs and monitoring inventory control in this capacity are important duties. Responsibilities:

  • Procures and replaces food items for kitchen use through proper procurement methods.
  • Executes necessary actions on open purchase orders and credits with utmost accuracy and within the required timeframe.
  • The control specialist plays a key role in achieving turn goals by minimizing shrinkage and spoilage.
  • Documents any deviations related to spoilage, sampling, temperature, and sweep worksheets and provides necessary corrective actions.
  • Helps with counter service and cooking work following the arranged schedule or when required.
  • Partners with the Kitchen Manager/Chef and Team Leader to stay informed on ordering demands and any potential problems.
  • Pursues collaborative and constructive communication with external vendors.
  • Collaboratively works on calculating the recipe's cost with the Team Leader or Assistant Team Leader(s).
  • Manages unique customer orders originating from overseas.
  • Supports leaders in performing accurate inventory assessments.
