Responsibilities:

As an Electrical Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for the upkeep of the electrical systems in the production facility, which includes diagnosing and correcting any issues that arise.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

General

• A self-motivated candidate is necessary for this position, as they must be able to function with minimal direction.
• Responding correctly to shifting priorities within a fast-paced setting is critical.
• Approach communication with a willingness to understand and learn from others.
• Comply with safe work guidelines, conduct routine safety evaluations, follow GMP guidelines, maintain sanitation standards, and uphold product quality control. If any actions or situations jeopardize the well-being of staff, food safety, or product quality, promptly inform the management.
• Make sure that the necessary information concerning ongoing tasks and projects is passed on to management, vendors, peers, and production employees with precision and clarity.

Technical

• Conduct an extensive evaluation of the electrical system using high-tech diagnostic tools and equipment to detect and diagnose any faults within the facility.
• Utilize both internal and external support channels to troubleshoot and resolve issues as expeditiously as possible.
• Interpreting technical documentation and electrical blueprints is necessary for carrying out sophisticated engineering tasks.
• Identify and diagnose common hardware problems with PLCs and touchscreens to avoid operational shut down.
• Once you have identified the problem, it is important to isolate the issue. This may involve running diagnostic tests on specific devices or nodes on the network.
• Comply with maintenance schedules and work orders to conduct regular upkeep.
• Technical training pertaining to electrical subsystems is a critical process necessary to educate individuals.
• Make it a habit to search for opportunities to optimize your procedures.
• Extend support to management and engineering staff to ensure seamless project execution.
• Offer support to mechanics during their work.
• Complete any other duties as instructed.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

To be eligible for this position, applicants must possess a one-year certificate from an accredited college or trade school, or an equivalent mix of educational and experiential qualifications.

EXPERIENCE :

The ideal candidate should have three years of experience in industrial electrical work within a manufacturing environment, specifically in the food processing industry. Knowledge of welding, pneumatics and mechanical systems would be highly regarded.
