Position Summary:
Using a small industrial vehicle, the Inventory Technician must transport materials to and from the appropriate storage areas as part of their job responsibilities.
Duties And Responsibilities:
- Join in on pre-shift assemblies, which may comprise collective stretching exercises to prepare for the day.
- Exercise caution and efficiency when handling a forklift on the job.
- Conduct a thorough forklift inspection every day and halt its operation immediately upon detecting any anomaly.
- Ensure that your shipped and received items are free from damages and accurate by conducting Quality Reassurance Checks.
- Observe the environment to identify any safety issues or violations and take appropriate action.
- Make sure that every required field on all documents is properly filled in and confirmed.
- Follow customer orders diligently and ensure all of their individual specifications are met.
- Partner closely with the office team to confirm discrepancies and issues are accurately addressed.
- It is imperative to prioritize the upkeep of a well-organized warehouse with intact pallets stored correctly and regular maintenance of any damages.
- Instill a sense of unity and teamwork across your teams by communicating in a friendly and constructive manner.
- As an essential component of ensuring food safety, personnel safety, and product quality, it is necessary to observe safe work practices, adhere to GMP guidelines, and maintain sanitary conditions. Any circumstance or practice that may jeopardize food safety, employee safety, or product quality should be reported to management
- At MFI, it is my job to ensure that all products meet stringent safety and quality regulations.
- Complying with safety policies and procedures is crucial to maintaining a safe environment.
- Comply with any other tasks as mandated.
Qualifications:
The job necessitates specific educational and experiential requirements that must be satisfied. These qualifications are prerequisites for being eligible for the position:
- A qualifying candidate should have a high school diploma or G.E.D, or similar education and work background
- For optimal performance in the field, it's important to pass the forklift certification and complete the Powered Industrial Truck training program.
- Possessing a strong command of the English language is integral to achieving success in both personal and professional endeavors.
- Adequate knowledge of mathematics and configuration is imperative
- The aptitude to assess scenarios and reach a sound conclusion that furthers the company's objectives whilst maintaining the safety and welfare of its staff.
To be considered for the job, the candidate should have completed a minimum of a bachelor's degree program in a relevant field of study such as business, marketing, or communication. Additionally, they should have prior experience working in a relevant role and should have developed strong skills in communication, interpersonal skills, and analytical thinking:
- The employer gives priority to applicants who have spent at least six months working in a palletized warehouse environment.
- Proper skills for handling people are necessary.
- While certification isn't required for the job application, it is highly recommended. All distribution operators will receive certified P.I.T. training during their MFI training.
