Starting wage: $20.00/Hr

Position Summary:

Using a small industrial vehicle, the Forklift Operator must transport materials to and from the appropriate storage areas as part of their job responsibilities.

Duties And Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that you attend pre-shift meetings, which may include doing stretches as a group to warm up.
  • Practice safe and productive forklift driving techniques to avoid accidents.
  • If any faults are discovered during the everyday forklift inspection, suspend its use immediately.
  • The key to avoiding product damage and ensuring accuracy is to conduct Quality Reassurance Checks during shipping and receiving.
  • Pay close attention to the area to prevent safety infractions or risks and act accordingly.
  • Ensure all documentation is complete and correct, paying close attention to details.
  • Provide accurate order fulfillment and meticulously follow any special instructions given by the customer.
  • Collaborate closely with office personnel to guarantee the accurate completion of discrepancies and contentious matters.
  • By ensuring proper management of damages and storage of pallets in bins, one can maintain a tidy, arranged warehouse with enhanced operations.
  • Instill a sense of unity and teamwork across your teams by communicating in a friendly and constructive manner.
  • Upholding safe work practices, following GMP guidelines, ensuring cleanliness, and maintaining product quality is essential. Management should be notified of any circumstances or practices that may jeopardize food safety, operator safety, or reduce product quality
  • I take on the responsibility of overseeing the food safety and quality of MFI products with utmost seriousness.
  • Safety policies and procedures must be strictly followed at all times.
  • Complete any remaining duties as delegated.

Qualifications:

Educational and Professional Credentials:

  • This job necessitates a candidate possessing a blend of education and experience that equates to a high school diploma or G.E.D
  • To operate Heavy Industrial Trucks safely and efficiently, completion of the Powered Industrial Truck training program and forklift certification are essential.
  • Cultivating a deep appreciation for the nuances of the English language can enable individuals to communicate with greater finesse and nuance.
  • Adequate proficiency in mathematics and configuration is needed
  • The skill to evaluate scenarios and make an appropriate decision that advances the organization's goals while protecting the health and welfare of employees.

Ideal Skills:

  • The eligibility criteria for this position include prior experience of six months or more in a warehouse that handles pallets.
  • Proper skills for handling people are necessary.
  • It isn't mandatory for distribution operators to have certification upon being hired, but it is ideal. MFI provides all distribution operators with P.I.T. training and certification at the beginning of their employment.
